Fixed Price Model
This model is suitable for customers with well defined requirements and project schedules. Under this option, the customer pays a pre-negotiated fixed price for the complete project which in turn is linked to well defined deliverables.
This model is executed as per the following steps:
- Customer forwards the requirement definition to MULTIDOTS.
- Our System Analyst studies the requirements and seeks clarifications, if any.
- Based on finalized requirements, a detailed proposal is submitted to the customer along with time frame and cost estimate.
- Upon acceptance of the proposal by the customer, Software Design Document (SDD) and Work Break-down Structure (WBS) is prepared and submitted to the customer based on the project plan incorporating clearly defined deliverables.
- Simultaneously under a parallel activity, development and testing environments are set up and the rest of the project team is assembled.
- The development, quality assurance and all other project related activities are competently managed, transparently communicated and seamlessly delivered.
- On completion of the final deliverable, acceptance testing, deployment, user training and handover is carried out at the customer site if required.
- During the field trials and after release, MULTIDOTS provides post-delivery services, as desired by the customer.
- Our post-release corrective, adaptive and perfectible maintenance services take care of the enhancements and bug fixes.
Time and Material
When scope, specification and implementation plans of a software development project are not easy to define at the outset, Time & Material Model becomes an attractive option. Under this model, you pay as per use of the hourly development efforts, making it the most flexible of the three models.
Software development project requirements tend to evolve during the course of implementation thereby necessitating additional or lesser resources. To facilitate such development, this model gives the flexibility of modulating your project team size, while optimizing on the time and costs. The execution steps under this model are same as the previous one except that the development effort is billed at the end of every month based on monthly generated time sheet and pre-negotiated hourly rate.
Dedicated Team
A Dedicated development center, which is an extension of the customer's software engineering facility, is popular among customers, who are looking at long-term gains from offshore outsourcing. This model incorporates a pool of specialized, multi-disciplinary resources that are organized and managed by MULTIDOTS to meet the customer's explicit business objectives. At the dedicated center, we go to extra lengths to simulate processes to exacting standards as per the customer's requirements.
The Dedicated Team plan is usually applied in long-term partnerships with a significant amount of work. Importantly in complex projects, where it is not advisable to replace the developer during the project.
Project budgeting is pre-decided and fixed for different technologies or level of programmers required.
It is a responsibility of MULTIDOTS to recruit a team that satisfies the project requirements and producing the specified monthly amount of work. Contracts are signed with developers and their work time is reserved for a customer. Some developers may work full-time within the dedicated team and others may work part-time. The customer's responsibility is to keep the workload of the team at the agreed specified level.
